Hilary is a long-time AEC industry veteran, with 26 years’ experience working for both architectural and construction management firms in Boston and Washington, DC. She is a Senior Marketing Manager with Shawmut Design and Construction’s New England work acquisition team. In 2013, Hilary joined SMPS and achieved her goal of becoming a CPSM. In her ten years with the Boston Chapter she served Board terms as CPSM Committee Director and Secretary. Since transferring to Connecticut in 2023, Hilary became a member of the Communications and Professional Development committees and CPSM sub-committee co-lead. She is excited to transition from Secretary to President-Elect!
Hilary's biggest SMPS takeaway? “Keep in touch!” This is the bedrock of SMPS; it may be simple but it’s essential. It’s all about building and maintaining relationships! I’ve worked in the AEC industry for a long time in multiple locations and I keep seeing the same people. They might be former coworkers who are now owner- or OPM-side or working at a competitor, but ultimately it’s a small industry and it pays to stay connected.
She looks forward to engaging with members, supporting their growth, and continuing to build lasting connections.
