Petra Construction Corporation
Petra Construction Corporation was founded by Guido Petraiuolo. After being honorably discharged from the United States Army in 1946, Mr. Petraiuolo worked as an X-Ray technician. Deciding that he would prefer to perform physical, outdoor work, he changed jobs and worked for a homebuilder as a carpenter apprentice. In 1953, he decided to start his own company. Over the years, the company provided residential, light commercial and architectural woodworking services in the greater New Haven area. Mr. Petraiuolo consistently demonstrated his aptitude for esthetics and design. He had a remarkable work ethic and a deep-seated understanding of excellent customer service. Many of his customers became his friends.
Many of those same qualities were passed on to his son and current owner, Guido Petra. As a youth, Mr. Petra worked alongside his father for many years. After graduating from the University of Connecticut and becoming more involved in the day to day operations of the business, Mr. Petra strategically grew the commercial capabilities of the business so that it evolved into the well-respected commercial and custom residential firm that it is today.

Photography chose us. On an expedition to Nigeria in 2003, images that we took as creative vacation photos were well received - so much so that they have been featured in art galleries throughout CT and NYC. From that experience we realized our purpose and dove headfirst into pursuing a passion.
We photographed our first wedding in 2005 - the same year that we exchanged our own vows. Eleven years later the approach to each wedding and love is the same. We tell the love story, show the joy, have fun, dance if our favorite song comes on and score a slice of cake!
