Even when an event is free or affordable, attending can still involve parking, transportation, childcare, or time away from work. There can also be the discomfort of walking into a room where you do not know anyone.

At SMPS Connecticut, we offer virtual and in-person programs at different times and locations, along with free events, student pricing, and other reduced-cost opportunities. As we continue planning programs, we also want to consider the smaller details that can make participation easier, such as clear information about parking, accessibility, attire, and what attendees can expect.

Not every event will work for everyone, but thoughtful choices can help more people feel comfortable joining us.
