Hello everyone,
I am honored and excited to be serving as the 2023-2024 SMPS Connecticut Chapter President. I started my career with SMPS Connecticut, so to be back where it all began leading such an amazing Chapter feels like things have truly come full circle.
As we move into the final year of our three-year strategic plan, we continue to meet and exceed our goals and certainly have many things to be grateful for as we round out 2023.
Bringing together our Program and Education Committees into the newly formed Professional Development Committee has provided us with renewed energy and robust programming for members and non-members alike. We started off our programming year with a bang at the inaugural AEC Industry Networking Reunion, which brought together industry friends and colleagues for a night of networking, reconnecting, and fun. We continue to work hard to bring our members engaging, thought-provoking, and relevant programming, and I encourage you to attend our in-person and virtual events.
In the spirit of the season of giving, I wanted to take a moment to talk about and thank our amazing group of volunteers who give their time, expertise, and support so selflessly to ensure things run smoothly. Volunteering and giving time is at the very core of what makes our Chapter such a success. In a world where we are all busier than ever, it’s important to pause and take in all that we have accomplished and all that have planned for the coming year.
If you’ve been thinking about donating some of your time, SMPS Connecticut offers many ways to get involved, from micro-volunteering opportunities and committee work to becoming a member of the Board. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions you might have and check out the committee page on our website for more information on various volunteer opportunities.
I want to thank all our volunteers for your continued commitment and devotion to moving our initiatives forward. Your participation and dedication continue to help SMPS Connecticut reach new heights. I’m excited about what this year holds for SMPS Connecticut! Thank you once again for your hard work and support and I wish you a happy and healthy holiday season!
Sincerely
Dana Lee

President, SMPS Connecticut
