DEI Moment with Lisa Pavano, CPSM: May 2026

Since May is Mental Health Awareness Month, it’s a good reminder that inclusion also means creating workplaces where people feel comfortable speaking up when they need support. Busy deadlines and constant responsiveness can make stress and burnout feel “normal,” especially during proposal crunches. But supporting mental health isn’t about lowering expectations, it’s about building teams that can stay healthy and successful long term.

Even small things can help, like respecting PTO, checking in on workload, encouraging boundaries, or simply recognizing when someone may be overwhelmed during busy seasons.
